Accurate measurements are the difference between a neat fit and a return.
Inside mount
- Measure the width inside the frame at the top, middle and bottom; use the smallest
- Measure the height at left, middle and right; use the longest
- Check the frame is deep enough for the blind
- Use a steel tape measure and round to the nearest 1/8 inch
Outside mount
- Add a few inches on each side to block light and gaps
- Measure where you'll mount above the frame to below the sill
- Make sure handles and cranks won't get in the way
